Should cats be allowed out on the balcony?
Background
A balcony fitted with cat-proof screens or netting can be a favourite spot for sunbathing and people-watching. Others feel no setup fully eliminates the risk of falls, and summer heat or winter cold is a concern, so they keep the door shut. Many compromise with window perches that offer the view without the risk.
