Should dogs sleep in a crate or roam freely at night?
Background
A crate can become a safe den that eases anxiety and helps with house training, travel and vet stays. Some dogs, though, dislike confinement, and a well-adjusted adult dog may be happiest sleeping wherever it chooses. Many families settle on a crate with the door left open as a middle path.
