Daily Debate #6 · 2026-11-06

Should cats stay strictly indoors, or is leash walking okay?

Background

Indoor-only cats face far fewer risks from traffic, disease and getting lost, so many owners and vets favour keeping them inside. Yet some harness-trained cats seem to thrive on fresh smells and sights outdoors, with owners reporting calmer, happier pets. A lot depends on the individual cat and the neighbourhood.
